BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
Many people ask is it a legal requirement to close the top rear doors of a horse trailer when travelling?
Some say it’s the law, others say its down to the Driver.
But there is no set answer re: the Road Policing.
Safety wise if a horse or pony is not secured by halter or hard collar, it is important to have the doors shut which makes the load secure.
There are many times where accidents have occurred where the horse has been frightened and jumped out of the trailer.
Also any containers be secured and not anywhere near the horse.

Picture shows Mike (DANHIRE Trailers and ON – LINE Editor of Waveney Towing and Leisure) and wife Jenny, meeting Derek the well known face of the very popular Classic Car programme.
A few days spent in Thornton – i.e. – Dales, Yorkshire, it was a must to go and visit this well known business. The amount of Classic cars waiting at Auction is amazing.

At the present time only a few Electric Cars can tow but so much work is being done and in next couple years we will see more and more coming on stream.
Word on street is FORD MOTOR COMPANY has the Battery power and look forward to now producing next year 600,000 Electric vehicles which will include 150,000 E – Electric Transit vans for the commercial sector.
A mid size 4×4 Electric will launch in 2023
Ford has a target of two million EV per year by 2026
But the Fiesta is not part of it 😐
